who we are

We are family - Because of the family that we are, we intentionally cultivate community with each other. God has created for himself a people-an earthly family. His desire is that this family would live in a way that the world would know what he is like. (John 1:12-13, 1 Corinthians 12)

We are missionaries - Because of the grace we know and the mission we are called to, we share. Jesus, God incarnate, came to earth to live within culture. God therefore, is a sending God. In the same way, we are called to be missionaries sent into our culture to restore all things to God through Jesus. (Psalm 49:1; John 1:14; 20:21; Colossians 1:19; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21)

We are servants - Because of the love we have been shown, we serve. Jesus came to serve. He served us all the way to his painful, gruesome Cross so that we could experience salvation, peace and transformation. We then, because of the Gospel, seek to love people both with the news of Jesus and by giving and blessing in tangible ways. (John 12:26; Philippians 2:3-11; 1 Peter 2:16)

We are disciples who make disciples - Because of the truth God has revealed, we give our minds and hearts to Christ as his disciples. As a part of Jesus being fully human, he grew both in stature and wisdom. He was taught by religious teachers and rabbis and through regular times of listening to God, he grew in understanding. Because of this, we believe we have a responsibility for our own growth and the growth of others. (Luke 14:27; John 15:1-17; Ephesians 4:11-13; 2 Timothy 2:2)
